TURKCELL İZMİR DATA CENTER


Turkcell İzmir Data Center, which is constructed by Turkcell İletişim Hizmetleri A.Ş. in Torbalı, İzmir, has been designed as a seismically isolated system in order to prevent sensitive devices inside the building from earthquake damage and provide post-earthquake function. The seismic isolators have been designed, manufactured and installed by TİS Teknolojik İzolatör Sistemleri A.Ş. The data center has come into service on June 22, 2018. ZEYNEL BEY TOMB


Zeynel Bey Tomb is an important historical monument, which was built in the borders of today’s Batman province at the end of 1400s, by the ruler of Aq Qoyunlu Federation for his son martyred in the Battle of Otlukbeli. Zeynel Bey Tomb, which will be submerged when under-construction Ilısu Dam starts to operate, has been transported to an open-air museum 2-km away from its original location within a project run by DSİ (The General Directorate of State Hydraulics Works). As a result of researchers carried out by Middle East Technical University and Boğaziçi University, it is decided that the structure will be installed on a seismic isolation system in order to protect it from earthquake hazards in the region.

ERZİNCAN STATE HOSPITAL


Erzincan 250-Bed State Hospital is a Ministry of Health project, constructed by Tetiş Yapı in the city of Erzincan. There are 229 seismic base isolators under the reinforced concrete structure, which has been designed as a base-isolated structure. The isolators have been designed and manufactured by TİS Teknolojik İzolatör Sistemleri A.Ş., and their site installation is in progress.

This project has the first TİS isolators which have been tested at the Caltrans Laboratories in San Diego, U.S.A. Prototype isolators have successfully completed all the tests at that laboratory.

REHABILITATION PROJECT OF HISTORICAL GÖZTEPE TRAIN STATION


Historical Göztepe Station is a 100-year-old train station, located in Göztepe, İstanbul, which is aimed to increase its earthquake resistance by installing a seismic base isolation system at the base of the station. KKC Marmaray İnşaat M.T.O. is the contractor of the project. Haydarpaşa Train Station Overpass Bridge is a steel bridge located at Tıbbiye Street in Haydarpaşa, İstanbul. Within the scope of the project, the old steel bridge is being removed and a new steel bridge is going to be constructed at the same location.
