TSP (TİS Single Pendulum) is a seismic isolation device featuring a single sliding curved surface. TSP devices are designed to dampen seismic forces and provide effective protection for structures to ensure “operational” structural performance during any seismic activity.
The TSP consists of a steel sliding element located between two support plates with different curvature radii and the patented Technoslide material developed by TİS.
One surface of the TSP’s sliding element rests on the steel support plate; this surface accommodates horizontal displacement while dissipating seismic energy through a friction mechanism. The other surface of the sliding element is fixed to the opposing support plate and allows only rotational movement. The curved sliding surfaces provide TSP devices with a self-centering capability during seismic events.
TSP devices are typically preferred for structures with relatively low mass located in regions with low to moderate seismic activity and are a particularly suitable solution for projects requiring high rotational capacity.
