TIS Technological Isolation Systems
TİS Technological Isolator Systems aims to promote and develop earthquake isolation technology, which began to be used in Türkiye in the early 2000s and became mandatory in new state hospital projects in 2012. In 2014, it was established as a subsidiary of MİM Engineering to manufacture products entirely with domestic resources using its own patented materials and products. It continues its work as Türkiye's first and only domestic and national manufacturer of Friction Pendulum Type Seismic Isolators.
After successfully passing the largest earthquake test ever experienced by Friction Pendulum Type Seismic Isolators in the February 6, 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, TİS has proven itself and is now the leader in earthquake isolation technologies in Türkiye, which are rapidly becoming widespread in both public and private sector projects.
In addition to seismic isolators, it develops comprehensive solutions in the field of earthquake engineering, including buckling-restrained braces (BRB), structural bearings, dampers, floor and equipment isolation systems, seismic gap closure joints, and structural health monitoring systems, as alternative solutions for strengthening existing structures and new construction projects.

As of 2025, our company's official name has been updated to TİS Deprem Teknolojileri San. ve Tic. A.Ş. (TİS Earthquake Technologies Industry and Trade Inc.).
This name change reflects TİS's evolution into a structure that offers comprehensive and integrated solutions in the field of earthquake technologies on a global scale, expanding its product and service scope and positioning itself as an international player.
With the initiative of MİM and AS İnşaat, and under the technical consultancy of Haluk Sucuoğlu and Michele Calvi, the foundations for the company’s establishment were laid.
With a circular issued by the Ministry of Health, the use of seismic isolators was made mandatory in state hospitals with 100 beds or more.

During the February 6 Kahramanmaraş Earthquakes, our friction pendulum seismic isolators delivered strong performance in what is considered the largest earthquake worldwide that this product category has ever been subjected to. These earthquakes—and the performance of our products—were recorded as the first major event in which friction-based isolation units experienced a large earthquake and proved their performance.

Under a Ministry of Health project, the friction pendulum seismic isolation device designed and manufactured by us remained in service within the structure for four years and operated during two major earthquakes. Afterward, it was removed from the isolator level of the Osmaniye 600-Bed State Hospital, and its performance and dimensions were re-checked—thereby confirming the long-term reliability of our seismic isolators. This became the first study of its kind carried out within this scope for friction-based isolation units.
