Zeynel Bey Tomb

Zeynelbey Tomb is an important historical monument on the borders of Batman, which was built for his son who was martyred in the Otlukbeli War of the Akkoyunlular period at the end of the 1400s. When the Ilisu Dam, which is being built in the region, was put into service, Zeynel Bey Tomb, which will remain under the dam waters of Hasankeyf, was moved to the open -air museum prepared 2 km away with a project implemented by DSI. As a result of the studies of Boğaziçi University and Middle East Technical University, it was decided that the tomb would be mounted on the seismic isolation system to protect against a possible earthquake danger in the area where it will be transported.
